Elevate any occasion with this simple yet decadent strawberry cake using cake and no-bake cheesecake mix.
Ingredients:
  • 0.66666668653488 cup canola oil
  • 1 (11 ounce) package no-bake instant cheesecake mix
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 1 serving cooking spray
  • 2 (18.25 ounce) packages white cake mix
  • 2.5 cups water
  • 5 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 (16 ounce) package vanilla buttercream frosting
  • 4 cups fresh strawberries
Instructions:
  • In a bowl, combine cheesecake filling mix and milk. Using an electric mixer, beat on low speed for 30 seconds, then increase speed to medium and beat until thick, about 3 minutes.
  • Refrigerate until solid, for a minimum of 2 hours.
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C while spraying two 9-inch cake pans with cooking spray.
  • Using an electric mixer, blend white cake mix, water, eggs, canola oil, and vanilla extract on medium speed for 2 minutes. Then, evenly distribute the batter between the prepared cake pans.
  • Bake in the oven until a toothpick inserted in the center of each cake layer comes out clean, about 30 minutes. Cool in the pans on a wire rack for 5-10 minutes. Then, invert the cakes onto waxed paper-covered racks to cool completely.
  • Begin by delicately positioning the cooled cake layer on a serving plate, and generously coat it with luscious cheesecake filling. Artfully arrange sliced half of the strawberries on top before gently placing the second cake layer. Proceed to elegantly frost the entire cake with exquisite vanilla buttercream, and artistically decorate the top with a selection of whole or sliced strawberries.
