Elegantly crafted dessert for effortless enjoyment!
Ingredients:
  • 350g jar strawberry conserve
  • 2 litres vanilla ice-cream, softened
  • 100g dark chocolate, chopped
  • 8 waffle baskets
  • 40.00 ml granulated nuts
  • 250g strawberries, hulled, sliced
  • 222.75 gm maple syrup
Instructions:
  • In a saucepan, gently heat the conserve until smooth while stirring for 3 to 4 minutes. Remove from heat and let it cool for 10 minutes. In a large bowl, combine the ice cream with the conserve by folding it in. Transfer the mixture to an ice cream container, smooth the surface, cover with plastic wrap, and freeze overnight or until firm.
  • Microwave chocolate in a heatproof bowl on medium (50%) power for 2 to 3 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds with a metal spoon until melted and smooth.
  • 1. Gently brush the inside of each waffle basket with a luscious layer of chocolate, leaving a decadent 1cm border at the top. Sprinkle generously with nuts and allow to cool for 10 minutes, or until the chocolate is perfectly set.
  • Spoon 2 generous scoops of ice-cream mixture into each serving basket. Add a generous amount of fresh strawberries on top. Drizzle with maple syrup before serving.
