Strawberry torte with ladyfingers, creamy filling, and homemade strawberry sauce for a simple yet refined dessert!
Ingredients:
  • 11 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 0.75 cup white sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 pint heavy whipping cream
  • 2 (12 ounce) packages ladyfinger cookies
  • 1 (16 ounce) package frozen strawberries
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
Instructions:
  • Separate strawberries and keep them aside, saving the juices. In a saucepan, gently bring cornstarch and strawberry juice to a boil. Remove from heat and allow to cool.
  • Combine cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla in a large bowl and whip until smooth.
  • Whip the cream in a separate bowl until stiff peaks form, then gently fold it into the cream cheese mixture.
  • Line the sides and bottom of an 8-inch springform pan with ladyfingers, standing them lengthwise. Pour half of the filling into the pan, add another layer of ladyfingers on top, and pour the rest of the filling over the ladyfingers.
  • Top the cake with a luscious layer of strawberry sauce and garnish with whole strawberries. Chill in the refrigerator overnight for the best flavor.
  • Plate the dish for serving.
