String Cheese Sticks with Dipping Sauce

Quick and tasty string cheese sticks with Bisquick® mix - ready in just 20 minutes!
Ingredients:
  • 2 1/4 cups Original Bisquick™ mix
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1 package (8 oz) plain or smoked string cheese
  • 1 can (8 oz) pizza sauce
  • 1 tablespoon butter or margarine, melted
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 450°F. In a medium bowl, mix Bisquick and milk until a soft dough forms. Beat for 30 seconds with a spoon. Transfer dough to a surface dusted with Bisquick mix, gently coat with Bisquick mix, and shape into a ball. Knead 10 times.
  • Roll out dough into a 12x8-inch rectangle that is 1/4 inch thick. Cut into 8 pieces that are 6x2 inches each. Wrap each piece of cheese in a rectangle of dough, pinching the edges to seal and the ends to secure. Roll the sticks on the surface until the cheese is completely enclosed. Place the sticks, seam sides down, on an ungreased cookie sheet.
  • Bake until golden brown, then heat pizza sauce in a saucepan until warm. Mix butter and garlic powder; brush over warm cheese sticks before serving with pizza sauce for dipping. Enjoy!
