Honey and ouzo glazed striped bass served over fluffy rice for a delicious meal.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 pound striped bass fillets, cut into cubes, or more to taste
  • 0.25 cup Asian fish sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh oregano
  • 2 tablespoons ouzo (anise-flavored liqueur)
Instructions:
  • In a bowl, combine flour and garlic powder, then coat the bass by tossing it in the mixture.
  • Combine fish sauce, olive oil, honey, and oregano in a bowl and whisk until well blended and smooth.
  • 1. Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the bass in the hot skillet until golden brown all over, approximately 5 minutes. Place the bass on a plate. Pour the ouzo and fish sauce mixture into the skillet, bring to a boil. Return the bass to the skillet and cook until done, about 5 minutes more.
