Delicious albacore marinated in a Korean-inspired sauce and grilled or broiled to perfection.
Ingredients:
  • 4 (4 ounce) albacore tuna steaks
  • 6 tablespoons sugar, divided
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • 1 green onion, sliced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon chopped fresh ginger root
  • 0.5 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
  • Massage the albacore steaks with a sweet coating of 4 tablespoons of sugar, then let them rest in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  • Toast the sesame seeds in a skillet over medium heat for about 5 minutes, or until lightly browned.
  • Combine the remaining sugar, toasted sesame seeds, green onion, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper in a shallow bowl. Add the albacore steaks to the mixture, ensuring they are fully coated. Refrigerate and marinate for 2 hours.
  • Heat up the broiler in the oven.
  • Remove the marinade and transfer the albacore steaks onto a baking sheet. Broil in the preheated oven until cooked to your liking.
