Delicious apple pie with sweet and tangy filling, baked to perfection in a golden crust for a show-stopping dessert.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup white sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 (14.1 ounce) package double-crust pie pastry, thawed
  • 6 medium tart apples - peeled, cored and sliced
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and set up a baking sheet on the center rack.
  • Combine sugar, flour, and cinnamon in a small bowl until fully mixed. Divide the butter into two equal portions.
  • Shape the pastry into a magnificent 11- or 12-inch circle and place it gently into the welcoming embrace of a 9-inch pie pan. Then, roll out the top crust and set it aside lovingly.
  • In a large bowl, combine sliced apples with the sugar mixture and half of the butter pieces. Toss until apples are fully coated, then transfer the mixture into the prepared pastry-lined pie pan.
  • Spread the remaining butter evenly over the apples. Gently place the second pastry on top, sealing the edges and creating small steam vents on the crust.
  • Place the pie on a baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 50 minutes to 1 hour until the filling is bubbly and the crust is golden brown.
