Delicious lemon and vanilla tea-time cake recipe.
Ingredients:
  • 5 tablespoons boiling water
  • 1.5 teaspoons baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon lemon extract
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions:
  • Begin by carefully separating the eggs. Then, sift the flour, baking powder, and salt together three times.
  • 1. In a large mixing bowl, beat egg yolks until light yellow. Gradually mix in sugar. Stir in lemon extract, vanilla extract, and boiling water until well combined. Gently fold in the flour mixture just until incorporated. Whip egg whites until soft peaks form, then fold them into the batter.
  • Transfer the batter to a 9-inch tube pan without greasing it. Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 45 to 50 minutes. Once baked, remove the cake from the oven and flip the pan over a bottle to cool. Once cool, gently release the cake from the pan.
