Delicious sweet potato casserole with crunchy pecan topping, perfect for holiday gatherings.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (40 ounce) can cut sweet potatoes, undrained
  • 0.75 cup white sugar, or more to taste
  • 0.333 cup unsalted butter, cut into pieces
  • 0.333 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 0.75 cup packed brown sugar, or more to taste
  • 0.333 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.333 cup unsalted butter, melted
Instructions:
  • Prepare all ingredients.
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and generously butter a 2-quart baking dish.
  • Prepare delicious sweet potatoes: Place the canned sweet potatoes along with their flavorful liquid in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil.
  • Take off the heat and strain.
  • Place the potatoes into a medium bowl and use a fork or potato masher to mash them.
  • Combine white sugar, butter, milk, eggs, and vanilla, mixing until smooth.
  • Evenly distribute the mixture in the baking dish.
  • Prepare the topping by thoroughly combining pecans, brown sugar, flour, and melted butter in a separate bowl until a crumbly texture forms.
  • Sprinkle the sweet potato mixture.
  • Bake the casserole in the preheated oven until the topping turns a beautiful golden brown, approximately 35 minutes.
