Indulge in a decadent creamy sweet potato pie, enriched with buttermilk, sugar, and a hint of vanilla for a pure sweet potato flavor explosion.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (9 inch) unbaked pie crust
  • 2 cups cooked and mashed sweet potatoes
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) for the perfect baking temperature.
  • Combine the mashed sweet potatoes with butter or margarine and eggs. In a separate bowl, mix sugar, flour, salt, and spices if desired. Add the dry ingredients to the sweet potato mixture and stir until well combined.
  • Combine the buttermilk and baking soda, then blend it into the sweet potato mixture until well mixed. Stir in the vanilla extract and transfer the filling into the pastry shell.
