Sizzle tofu with black vinegar and soy sauce for a tangy Taiwanese dish, perfect with rice and veggies.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (16 ounce) package extra firm tofu
  • 0.33333334326744 cup soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons Chinese black vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 0.25 cup chopped green onions
Instructions:
  • Cut the tofu in half lengthwise, then slice into 1/4 inch thick squares. In a small bowl, stir together the soy sauce, vinegar, sesame oil, and sugar. Set aside.
  • In a large nonstick pan over medium heat, sauté garlic and green onions in oil for about 20 seconds until fragrant. Brown tofu on both sides, then pour in sauce and cook for 2 to 3 minutes until tofu absorbs the flavors. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
