Texan-inspired salsa dip featuring picante sauce, black-eyed peas, white hominy, diced chiles, onions, and spices.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (16 ounce) jar picante sauce
  • 1 (15.5 ounce) can black-eyed peas, drained
  • 1 (15.5 ounce) can white hominy, drained
  • 0.5 cup chopped white onion
  • 0.5 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 0.25 cup chopped green onion
  • 1 (4 ounce) can diced green chile peppers
  • 1 pinch ground cumin, or to taste
  • 1 pinch garlic powder, or to taste
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste
Instructions:
  • In a large mixing bowl, mix together picante sauce, black-eyed peas, hominy, white onion, cilantro, green onion, chile peppers, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until fully incorporated. Cover and refrigerate for 24 hours before serving.
