Savor the flavors of Vietnam with a savory beef and green bean stir-fry, infused with garlic, onion, and soy sauce. Pair with fluffy white rice for a simple yet delicious meal.
Ingredients:
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 pound sirloin tips, thinly sliced
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil, divided
  • 0.5 onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups fresh green beans, washed and trimmed
  • 0.25 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
Instructions:
  • In a large mixing bowl, mix together garlic, cornstarch, 1 teaspoon of oil, and black pepper. Add sirloin tips and combine thoroughly.
  • In a sizzling wok, heat 2 tablespoons of oil over high heat for 1 minute. Add the sirloin mixture, stirring and cooking until the beef starts to brown, for about 2 minutes. Transfer the delicious mixture to a spacious bowl and keep it aside.
  • In the same wok, heat the remaining tablespoon of oil. Add the onion and cook until tender. Add green beans, pour in the broth, cover, and simmer on medium heat for 4 to 5 minutes until the beans are tender-crisp.
  • Add in the beef and soy sauce. Stir constantly until heated through, which should take about 1 to 2 minutes.
