Infuse flank steak with coriander, lime, soy, and broil for flavor-packed Thai beef.
Ingredients:
  • 2 tablespoons coriander seeds, coarsely cracked
  • 0.5 cup firmly packed dark brown sugar
  • 0.25 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 pinch ground ginger
  • 1.5 pounds flank steak
Instructions:
  • Chill the flank steak in the freezer for 20 minutes.
  • Combine coriander, brown sugar, soy sauce, lime juice, garlic, and ground ginger in a bowl and whisk until the marinade is thoroughly mixed.
  • Thaw steak and slice thinly against the grain. Transfer steak to a large bowl, pour marinade over, and toss to coat evenly. Cover and let marinate at room temperature for 1 hour.
  • Preheat your oven's broiler on a rack positioned 6 inches from the heat source and line the broiler pan bottom with foil.
  • Arrange the steak slices in a single layer on the prepared broiler pan rack.
  • Broil the steak in the preheated oven, basting with marinade as needed, until it reaches your preferred level of doneness (1 to 2 minutes for medium rare).
