Add an exotic Asian twist to the classic Cuban cocktail with fragrant makrut lime leaves.
Ingredients:
  • 1 lime, coarsely chopped
  • 5 large fresh mint leaves
  • 5 makrut lime leaves, coarsely torn
  • 40-60ml white rum
  • 3 large ice cubes
  • Chilled soda water, to serve
Instructions:
  • Add lime, mint, makrut lime leaves, and sugar to a cocktail shaker. Gently muddle with a wooden rolling pin until the sugar is almost dissolved.
  • Combine the rum and ice in a shaker, shake vigorously, then strain into a tall glass. Finish with soda water and enjoy promptly.
