Family-favorite Swedish Meatballs - Easy, simple, and delicious. A must-try recipe passed down for generations.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 0.5 pound ground pork
  • 0.5 cup chopped onion
  • 0.75 cup bread crumbs
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon dried parsley
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 0.25 cup vegetable oil
  • 0.25 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 0.75 cup sour cream
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and gently grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • Mix together ground beef, ground pork, chopped onion, bread crumbs, egg, and milk in a large bowl. Add parsley, Worcestershire sauce, 2 tsp salt, and 1 tsp pepper. Use your hands to combine everything thoroughly. Shape mixture into walnut-size balls and arrange on a baking dish.
  • Bake in a preheated oven for 30 minutes, turning occasionally to ensure even browning on all sides.
  • For the sauce: Heat oil, flour, paprika, 1 tablespoon salt, and 1 teaspoon pepper in a saucepan over medium heat until sizzling. Stir in hot water and sour cream until smooth and heated through.
  • After 30 minutes of cooking the meatballs, generously top them with the sauce, and bake for an additional 20 minutes, giving it a gentle stir every now and then.
