Master the perfect deviled eggs: a timeless recipe born from endless experiments. Caution: they're so irresistible, they'll definitely yolk-side down on carpet.
Ingredients:
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 0.25 teaspoon prepared mustard
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon paprika, or to taste
  • 2 leaves of lettuce
Instructions:
  • Gently simmer eggs in a pot of salted water until hard-boiled, about 10 to 15 minutes. Drain, cool, peel, then halve lengthwise and delicately scoop out yolks.
  • In a medium mixing bowl, gently mash the yolks. Mix in vinegar, mayonnaise, mustard, salt, and pepper. Add more mayo if needed, aiming for a slightly dry consistency.
  • Gently spoon the egg yolk mixture into the egg whites without compacting it. Fill each white generously. Sprinkle with paprika, then arrange on a nest of lettuce and garnish with parsley. Chill before serving.
