Ingredients:
3cups water
2dried anchovies, or more to taste
3tablespoons chile paste
2tablespoons white sugar
1tablespoonsoy sauce
1tablespooncorn syrup
2Korean fish cakes, sliced
0.5onion, thickly sliced
1spring onion, thickly sliced
Instructions:
In a saucepan, simmer water and anchovies until fragrant. Let it cook gently for 10 minutes, then discard anchovies.
Mix together the chile paste, sugar, soy sauce, and corn syrup in a bowl to create a flavorful sauce.
Combine rice cakes and onion with the flavorful anchovy-infused water in the saucepan. Pour in the savory sauce and bring to a lively boil for 5 minutes, stirring every so often. Finish by adding spring onion and continue boiling for an additional 3 minutes; enjoy the enticing aromas as the dish comes together perfectly.
