Tasty bento box featuring tuna-egg salad, cute carrot and cucumber flowers, fruit kebabs, and a heart-shaped egg.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (5 ounce) can water-packed tuna, drained and flaked
  • 0.5 cup canola mayonnaise
  • 1 hard-boiled egg, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped sweet onion
  • 2 tablespoons chopped hamburger dill pickle chips
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 1 banana, sliced
  • toothpicks
  • 1 (4 ounce) can pineapple chunks, drained
  • 6 strawberries
  • 2 carrots, divided
  • 2 cucumbers, divided
  • black olives
  • 1 hot hard-boiled egg, peeled
Instructions:
  • Mix together tuna, creamy mayonnaise, chopped hard-boiled egg, fresh onion, tangy pickle chips, and a pinch of salt in a bowl to create a flavorful tuna-egg salad.
  • Lay the tomatoes on a flat surface and carefully make partial wedges by cutting slits from the top to the bottom. Stuff each tomato with delicious tuna salad.
  • Coat banana slices in zesty lemon juice. Skewer a toothpick through a banana slice, pineapple chunk, and strawberry. Continue making colorful kebabs with the rest of the fruit.
  • Create beautiful vegetable tulips by slicing 1 carrot and 1 cucumber into 3/4-inch circles. Use a small knife to shape each carrot slice into tulip petals and trim cucumber slices into leaf shapes. Thread a leaf through a toothpick, then top with a carrot tulip. Repeat with the remaining leaves and tulips for an elegant presentation.
  • Slice remaining carrot and cucumber into 1/2-inch rounds. Use a mini flower-shaped vegetable cutter to create mini carrot and cucumber flowers.
  • Gently place the hot egg in a heart-shaped mold, close the lid tightly, and chill in cold water for 10 minutes. Drain on a paper towel before serving.
  • Assemble the tuna-egg salad, fruit kebabs, tulips, carrot and cucumber cut-outs, and heart-shaped eggs beautifully in a bento box.
