Tuna tartare with yuzu dressing

Whip up this elegant Japanese appetizer in minutes for your next summer soirée.
Ingredients:
  • 1 tsp wasabi paste
  • 42.00 gm soy sauce
  • 2 tsp finely grated ginger
  • 40.00 ml mirin
  • 20.00 ml yuzu juice (see notes) or lime juice
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 60ml olive oil
  • 500g sashimi-grade tuna (see notes), cut into 1cm cubes
  • 12.00 gm sesame seeds, toasted
  • 1 avocado, diced
  • 6 spring onions, finely chopped
  • Micro herbs (see notes), to serve
  • Toasted baguette slices, to serve
Instructions:
  • Mix together the wasabi, soy sauce, ginger, mirin, yuzu, sesame oil, and olive oil in a bowl. Toss in the tuna, sesame seeds, avocado, and spring onion, then gently stir to combine.
  • Garnish with fresh herbs and serve alongside warm bread.
