Fresh tuna tartare on crisp tortilla chips with zesty wasabi aioli.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 pound sashimi-grade ahi tuna, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 2 tablespoons peanut oil
  • 1 tablespoon nori fumi furikake (seaweed and sesame rice seasoning)
  • 0.25 teaspoon wasabi powder
  • 2 teaspoons water
  • 0.5 teaspoon wasabi powder
  • 0.33333334326744 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lime juice
  • 1 (12 ounce) bag tortilla chips
  • 1 ripe avocado, diced
  • 0.25 cup finely diced red onion
Instructions:
  • Mix together tuna, peanut oil, furikake, and wasabi powder in a bowl. Refrigerate covered for at least 3 hours to enhance flavors.
  • In a medium bowl, combine water and 1/2 teaspoon of wasabi powder. Add mayonnaise, chives, and lime juice. Chill in the refrigerator for a minimum of 3 hours.
  • Arrange tortilla chips on a plate and generously top with fresh tuna tartare, ripe avocado slices, and finely diced red onion. Finish with a delicate drizzle of zesty wasabi aioli.
