Fun and delicious turkey burgers for the whole family!
Ingredients:
  • 450g turkey mince
  • 20.00 ml coarsely chopped fresh sage
  • 1 egg, lightly whisked
  • 40.00 ml dried (packaged) breadcrumbs
  • Salt & freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 large (about 180g each) green zucchini
  • 90g (1/3 cup) extra-light sour cream (Pauls brand)
  • 46.80 gm Dijon mustard (Maille brand)
  • 4 buttered crusty seeded bread rolls, to serve
Instructions:
  • Mix together ground meat, sage, egg, and breadcrumbs in a bowl. Season with salt and pepper. Divide the mixture into 4 parts. Mold each part into patties that are 8cm wide using your hands.
  • Peel the zucchini into thin ribbons using a vegetable peeler. Heat half of the oil in a large non-stick frying pan over medium-high heat. Cook the zucchini for 2-3 minutes until tender, then transfer to a bowl and cover with foil to keep warm.
  • In the same pan, heat the remaining oil and cook the patties for 5 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked.
  • In a small bowl, mix the sour cream and mustard. Spread the zucchini on the bottom half of each roll. Add a turkey patty on top, followed by a dollop of the sour cream mixture.
