Light and delicious twist on a classic: ground turkey replaces beef in a creamy dish using convenient sauce mix.
Ingredients:
  • 1 lb lean ground turkey
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 3 1/2 cups water
  • 1 package (1.5 oz) beef stroganoff sauce mix
  • 3 cups uncooked medium egg noodles (6 oz)
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • Chopped parsley, if desired
Instructions:
  • In a 10-inch skillet, break up the ground turkey, season with pepper, and cook over medium-high heat for 5 to 6 minutes, stirring regularly, until the turkey is cooked through and no longer pink.
  • Combine water, sauce mix, and noodles in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, then simmer over medium-low heat, covered, for 6 to 8 minutes until noodles are tender, stirring occasionally.
  • Gently fold in sour cream and cook until warmed through. Garnish with chopped parsley.
