Southern style sausage and veggie grits.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound bulk pork sausage
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 0.5 cup chopped green bell pepper
  • 1 cup quick-cooking grits
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of celery soup
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) and generously butter a 2-quart casserole dish.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the sausage until cooked through, about 5 to 7 minutes. Add onion, celery, and green pepper; sauté until tender, around 5 minutes. Transfer to a casserole dish.
  • In a saucepan, simmer grits, water, and salt until tender, about 30 minutes. Add to sausage mixture in a casserole dish, spread evenly, and top with soup. Sprinkle Cheddar cheese on top.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
