Affordable, healthy stir-fry for easy weeknight meals.
Ingredients:
  • 21.00 gm light soy sauce
  • 24.40 gm oyster sauce
  • 40.00 ml shao hsing (Chinese rice wine)
  • 1/2 tsp sesame oil
  • 6.00 gm brown sugar
  • 100g pork mince
  • 27.60 gm vegetable oil
  • 600g green beans, trimmed, halved diagonally
  • 1 garlic clove, crushed
  • 2cm piece fresh ginger, peeled, finely grated
  • 4 green onions, thinly sliced diagonally
  • Steamed jasmine rice, to serve
  • Green onion, sliced, extra, to serve
Instructions:
  • In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, oyster sauce, wine, sesame oil, and sugar. Then, in a separate bowl, combine the pork with 1 tablespoon of the soy mixture and mix well using a fork.
  • Heat a wok over medium-high heat, then add 2 teaspoons of vegetable oil, swirling to coat. Stir-fry half of the beans for 4 to 5 minutes until they are bright green and starting to char. Transfer to a bowl, then repeat the process with the remaining beans.
  • Drizzle the remaining oil into the wok, swirling to coat evenly. Toss in the garlic, ginger, and onion, stir-frying for 1 minute until aromatic. Incorporate the pork, stir-frying for 2 minutes until it turns golden brown. Toss in the beans and rest of the soy mixture, stir-frying for 1 to 2 minutes until everything is heated through. Serve alongside jasmine rice and garnish with extra green onion.
