Festive maple snack mix for guests or Rudolph & friends.
Ingredients:
  • 84.38 gm maple syrup
  • 30.00 gm caster sugar
  • 6.60 gm vanilla extract
  • 375.00 ml skinless hazelnuts
  • 375.00 ml blanched almonds
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 180C/160C fan-forced and line a large baking tray with baking paper.
  • In a large bowl, whisk the egg whites until foamy. Stir in maple syrup, sugar, and vanilla. Add nuts and toss to coat. Spread the mixture evenly on a prepared tray. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden. Let it cool completely before serving.
