Indulge in a crowd-pleasing vanilla pound cake, elevated with cake flour and rich whipping cream for effortless entertaining.
Ingredients:
  • 1 tablespoon canola oil, or as needed
  • 0.125 cup powdered sugar, or as needed
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2.5 cups white sugar
  • 6 large eggs, at room temperature
  • 3 cups sifted cake flour
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream, at room temperature
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C) while you generously grease a fluted tube pan (like a Bundt®) with canola oil and dust it with powdered sugar for a delightful finish.
  • Cream butter until smooth, gradually mix in white sugar, then add eggs one at a time, beating thoroughly. Stir in vanilla extract. Alternate adding cake flour and whipping cream, starting and finishing with flour. Pour the batter into the pan.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow to cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a plate to cool completely.
