Vanilla Raspberry Trifle

Festive holiday trifle with rum-soaked ladyfingers, raspberries, and vanilla pudding.
Ingredients:
  • 2 (3 ounce) packages ladyfingers
  • 0.5 cup rum, or to taste
  • 1 pint raspberries
  • 4 cups cold milk
  • 2 (3.5 ounce) packages instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 orange, zested
  • 1 pint heavy whipping cream
  • 1 (2.25 ounce) package slivered almonds
Instructions:
  • Place half of the ladyfingers at the bottom of a deep glass dish. Drizzle half of the rum over the ladyfingers and then layer with half of the raspberries.
  • In a bowl, use an electric mixer to blend cold milk, pudding mix, and orange zest until smooth, about 2 minutes. Spread half of the pudding over the raspberry layer. Place the rest of the ladyfingers on top of the pudding layer and around the sides of the bowl. Drizzle the remaining rum over the ladyfingers; add the remaining raspberries and pudding on top. Chill the trifle in the refrigerator for about 1 hour to set the flavors.
  • Whip heavy cream in a bowl with an electric mixer on medium-low speed until fluffy. Spoon over trifle and sprinkle with almonds.
