Deliciously aromatic bread with vanilla, coriander, and cardamom, made in a bread machine and baked in the oven. Perfect for a gourmet peanut butter and jelly sandwich!
Ingredients:
  • 0.75 cup water
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 1.5 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 0.25 cup dark brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons white sugar
  • 0.125 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1.25 teaspoons salt
  • 3 cups high-gluten bread flour
  • 1.5 teaspoons active dry yeast
Instructions:
  • In the bread machine pan, layer water, milk, vanilla extract, brown sugar, white sugar, cardamom, coriander, vegetable oil, and salt. Add flour on top and sprinkle with yeast. Set the machine to the Dough cycle and start it.
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and generously grease a 9x5-inch bread pan.
  • Once the Dough cycle finishes, take out the dough, deflate if needed, shape into a loaf, and place seam side down in the bread pan. Cover and let it rise until doubled in size, about 20 to 30 minutes.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 35 to 45 minutes or until the loaf turns a beautiful golden brown. Allow it to cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a rack to finish cooling.
