Ingredients:
  • 4.60 gm olive oil
  • 4 veal leg steaks
  • 125ml beef stock
  • 2 tsp plain flour
  • 60ml marsala
  • 200g pre-packed sliced mushrooms
  • 400g beans, trimmed
  • 475g desiree potato mash with sauteed onion
  • 20.20 gm thin cream
  • Salt & freshly ground pepper
Instructions:
  • In a large frying pan over medium-high heat, heat oil. Cook steaks for 1 minute on each side in two separate batches. Place on a foil-covered plate.
  • In a pot, whisk together beef stock and flour. Pour in the marsala and bring to a boil. Stir in the stock mixture and bring to a boil. Add mushrooms, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 8 minutes.
  • While waiting, boil a saucepan of water. Boil the beans for 3 minutes until tender. Warm the potato mash for 4 minutes in the microwave following the package instructions or in a saucepan on medium heat.
  • Blend the cream into the mushroom sauce and season to your liking. Place the veal steaks back in the pan, coat them with the sauce, and let them warm up. Serve the steaks with a side of potato mash and beans, and generously spoon the sauce over the top.
