Enhance venison fajitas with homemade fajita seasoning.
Ingredients:
  • 2 teaspoons seasoned salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1.5 pounds venison, cut into 2 inch strips
  • 4 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 medium red bell pepper, cut into 2 inch strips
  • 1 medium yellow bell pepper, cut into 2 inch strips
  • 1 medium onion, cut into 1/2-inch wedges
  • 12 fajita size flour tortillas, warmed
Instructions:
  • Make the fajita seasoning by blending seasoned salt, garlic salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper, and oregano. Sprinkle two teaspoons of the seasoning over the sliced venison, ensuring it's evenly coated. Refrigerate the seasoned venison for 30 minutes after mixing well and covering it.
  • Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a heavy frying pan. Sauté bell peppers and onion until slightly tender, then set aside. Add the rest of the oil and brown the venison. Mix in the sautéed vegetables, sprinkle the remaining fajita seasoning, and warm through. Serve with the tortillas.
