Irresistibly chewy chocolate crinkle cookies with a crispy exterior.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.5 cup butter, melted
  • 2 (1 ounce) squares semisweet chocolate, chopped
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 0.25 cup confectioners' sugar for rolling
Instructions:
  • Combine flour and baking powder, then set aside. In a medium bowl, mix chocolate into melted butter until smooth. Add sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Slowly incorporate the sifted ingredients. Fold in the chocolate chips. Chill dough covered for at least 2 hours or overnight.
  • Preheat the oven to a cozy 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Prepare your baking sheets by greasing them or lining them with parchment paper. Roll the chilled dough into 1-inch balls and coat each ball in confectioners' sugar. Space the cookies 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheets.
  • Bake for 9 to 12 minutes in the preheated oven until the tops crack. Transfer to wire racks to cool.
