Overnight egg casserole with spicy pepper Jack cheese and sausage for a flavorful breakfast ready in a snap!
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound pork sausage
  • 1 (5.5 ounce) package seasoned croutons
  • 1.5 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
  • 1 cup shredded pepperjack cheese
  • 8 eggs
  • 1 pint half-and-half cream
  • 1.5 teaspoons dry mustard
  • 1 tablespoon minced onion
Instructions:
  • In a large, deep skillet, cook the sausage over medium-high heat until it is evenly browned. Drain, crumble, and set aside.
  • Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish, then evenly spread croutons in a single layer. Next, layer with Cheddar cheese, Swiss cheese, and pepper Jack cheese before topping with the cooked sausage.
  • Combine eggs, half-and-half, milk, mustard, onion, salt, and pepper in a large bowl. Pour the mixture over the sausage in the dish, cover, and refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight.
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) the following morning.
  • Place in the warm oven and bake for 45 to 60 minutes. Allow it to rest for 20 minutes prior to serving.
