Elevate jarred spaghetti sauce with pesto, toss with ziti, and sprinkle with Parmesan for a quick and indulgent pasta dish.
Ingredients:
  • 12 ounces ziti pasta
  • 2 tablespoons pesto
  • 1 (26 ounce) jar tomato basil pasta sauce
  • salt to taste
  • 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions:
  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook ziti pasta until al dente, approximately 8 minutes. Drain.
  • Combine the pesto and basil tomato sauce in a saucepan over gentle heat and bring to a simmer. Season with salt to your liking. (Alternatively, you can microwave the covered sauce in a bowl on high for one minute.)
  • Transfer the pasta to a spacious serving bowl, then generously coat it with the flavorful pesto-tomato sauce. Finish off by sprinkling a generous amount of grated Parmesan cheese on top.
