Indulge in irresistible Bacon-Wrapped Figs, air fried to perfection - the ultimate holiday party appetizer!
Ingredients:
  • 12 dried Turkish or mission figs
  • 6 strips regular center-cut bacon (not thick cut)
  • Goat cheese or blue cheese for stuffing, optional
  • Salted, roasted almonds for stuffing, optional
  • Honey, for serving
  • Nonstick spray, for air fryer
Instructions:
  • To reconstitute the figs, soak dried figs in a bowl of steaming hot water for 20 minutes. Drain, remove stems, and make a small slit in each fig. Fill with blue cheese, goat cheese, or half an almond. Mix fillings if desired.
  • Wrap each fig with a half strip of bacon cut 1/2 to 3/4 inches wide and secure with a toothpick.
  • For a crispy finish, air fry bacon-wrapped figs at 350 ̊F for 8-9 minutes, flipping halfway. Alternatively, broil them on high for 3 minutes per side if you don’t have an air fryer.
  • Serve the figs: Drizzle the slightly cooled figs with honey before enjoying. Any leftover figs (as if!) can be stored in the fridge for up to 5 days. Simply reheat in a 350°F oven or air fryer for a few minutes when ready to eat.
