Try the daring supermarket twist: burger sauce hot cross buns! Cheesy, pickle-filled, pull-apart cheeseburger slabs in less than 30 minutes. Perfectly melty in the air fryer for a fun twist on dinner that rivals fast food. Great for feeding the whole family!
Ingredients:
  • 500g pkt Classic Beef Burgers
  • 320g packet Special Burger Sauce Hot Cross Buns
  • 4 Tasty Cheese Slices
  • 1/2 small red onion, thinly sliced
  • 12 Special Burger Pickles
  • 45.20 gm Special Burger barbecue Sauce
Instructions:
  • Generously coat the air fryer basket with oil. Arrange the burgers in the basket and air fry at 180C for approximately 11 minutes, or until the burgers are beautifully browned.
  • Take the burgers out of the basket. Place baking paper in the basket, allowing it to extend 5cm up the sides.
  • With a sharp bread knife, split the hot cross buns in half horizontally while keeping them intact. Arrange the bottom halves in a basket and layer on the burgers and cheese. Bake at 180°C for 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted.
  • Place a layer of onion, pickles, and burger sauce on top of the burger patty. Add the hot cross bun top. Bake at 180C for about 3 minutes, or until the hot cross bun top is warmed through.
  • Gently lift the slab out of the air fryer using the baking paper. Allow it to cool for 2 minutes before serving.
