Quick and flavorful air fryer roasted tomatillo salsa verde. Customize the spice level with your choice of peppers.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound tomatillos
  • 1 serrano pepper, halved and seeded
  • 1 jalapeno pepper, halved and seeded
  • 0.5 large white onion, cut into 2 wedges
  • 1 serving cooking spray
  • 4 cloves garlic, peeled
  • 0.5 cup chopped cilantro
  • 0.5 lime, juiced, or more to taste
  • 1 pinch salt to taste
Instructions:
  • Preheat the air fryer to a deliciously crispy 390 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  • Peel and wash tomatillos, then halve them. Arrange tomatillos and peppers in the air fryer basket, skin side down. Add onion and give the vegetables a light coat of cooking spray.
  • After air frying vegetables for 5 minutes, add garlic cloves, lightly spray with cooking spray, and air fry for another 5 minutes.
  • Let vegetables cool for 10 minutes. Place them in a food processor along with cilantro, lime juice, and salt. Pulse until vegetables are finely chopped to your liking. Enjoy at room temperature or chill for flavors to blend.
