Golden brown sourdough pancakes cooked on a griddle, perfect for a delightful family breakfast.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup sourdough starter
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1.25 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking soda
  • cooking spray
Instructions:
  • Combine sourdough starter, milk, egg, and oil in a bowl, and mix well.
  • In a separate bowl, mix together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Add wet ingredients and gently stir until just combined, leaving some lumps for a fluffy texture.
  • Preheat a griddle over medium-high heat and give it a light coating of cooking spray. Ladle 1/4 cup of batter at a time onto the hot griddle, working in batches. Cook until bubbles form and edges set, approximately 2 minutes. Flip and continue cooking until beautifully golden brown, which should take another 2 to 3 minutes.
