Cozy up with a flavorful almond chicken recipe to spice up the winter season.
Ingredients:
  • 100g almond meal
  • 250ml water
  • 20.00 ml ghee
  • 2 tsp cumin seeds
  • 4 whole cloves
  • 12 fresh curry leaves
  • 4 green cardamom pods, bruised
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1 tsp ground turmeric
  • 1 brown onion, finely chopped
  • 12 chicken thigh fillets, chopped
  • 125ml cream
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • Toasted flaked almonds, to serve
Instructions:
  • In a medium bowl, mix almond meal and water together. Allow it to soak for 1 hour.
  • Heat ghee in a large saucepan over medium heat until melted. Stir in cumin seeds, cloves, curry leaves, cardamom, garlic, turmeric, and onion. Cook and stir for 5 minutes until onion softens. Add chicken and almond meal, bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Cook for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Pour in cream and simmer for 15-20 minutes until sauce thickens slightly. Remove from heat, stir in garam masala, season, and garnish with toasted flaked almonds before serving.
