Indulge in heavenly fluffy honey butter yeast rolls with a crowd-pleasing flavor profile.
Ingredients:
  • 1 eggs
  • 0.66666668653488 cup whole milk
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons white sugar
  • 1 (.25 ounce) package active dry yeast
  • 6.5 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted, divided
  • 2 tablespoons honey, or more to taste
  • 1 teaspoon salt, or as needed
Instructions:
  • Combine milk, brown sugar, and white sugar in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in microwave for 40 to 50 seconds until warm, then stir in yeast.
  • Combine 6 tablespoons of butter and eggs in a separate bowl, whisk until just combined. Slowly whisk into the milk mixture for 30 to 60 seconds. Gradually stir in flour, 1/2 cup at a time, mixing thoroughly until the dough is smooth and moist.
  • Transfer the dough into a bowl greased with a hint of oil. Gently cover it and allow it to rise in a cozy, dry spot until it doubles in size, approximately 1 hour.
  • Place the dough onto a floured work surface, then generously drizzle with honey and sprinkle with salt. Fold the dough in half, then repeat the drizzle with honey and salt. Continue to fold and drizzle, repeating 5 to 6 times in total.
  • Shape dough into a 1/2-inch thick rectangle and slice into 12 equal pieces using a pizza cutter. Arrange rolls on lightly greased 9x13-inch baking pans or sheets. Cover with a cloth and let rise until doubled, about 45 mins to 1 hour.
  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) to get it nice and toasty for your culinary masterpiece.
  • Bake rolls in the preheated oven until tops are golden brown, about 11 to 14 minutes. Brush with 1/2 tablespoon of butter and a drizzle of honey as soon as they come out of the oven.
