Angel Hair Pasta with Gorgonzola

Creamy Gorgonzola and walnut sauce coats angel hair pasta for a decadent and quick dinner.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 (16 ounce) package angel hair pasta
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 0.5 large onion, chopped
  • 0.5 cup heavy cream
  • 4 tablespoons crumbled Gorgonzola cheese
  • 0.25 cup chopped walnuts
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
Instructions:
  • Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a rolling boil. Add angel hair pasta and cook over medium heat until tender yet firm to the bite, 4 to 5 minutes. Drain and keep warm.
  • In a large skillet, warm olive oil over medium heat. Sauté garlic until fragrant for about 1 minute. Add onion and cook until softened and lightly browned for 5 to 7 minutes. Lower the heat, pour in heavy cream, and combine thoroughly. Add Gorgonzola cheese, stirring until melted and sauce thickens, for about 5 minutes. Finally, fold in walnuts.
  • Toss the sauce with the cooked pasta until well combined. Serve hot.
