Delicate angel hair pasta with shrimp, broccoli, and savory garlic cream sauce.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (12 ounce) package angel hair pasta
  • 2.5 tablespoons butter, divided
  • 1.5 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1.5 cups milk
  • 0.5 cup heavy cream
  • 1.5 tablespoons pesto
  • 1.5 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 teaspoons salt, divided
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground white pepper
  • 1 dash Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 dash hot sauce
  • 0.5 (16 ounce) package frozen broccoli florets, thawed
  • 1 pound jumbo shrimp, peeled and deveined
Instructions:
  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil. Cook pasta until al dente, about 8 to 10 minutes; drain well.
  • In a saucepan over medium heat, melt 1.5 tablespoons of butter. Add flour and cook for 2 minutes. Stir in milk and cream gradually; simmer and stir until thickened. Add pesto, parsley, 3 cloves minced garlic, Parmesan cheese, 1 teaspoon salt, white pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and hot sauce. Reduce heat to low and simmer.
  • Steam broccoli until perfectly cooked yet slightly firm by placing it in a steamer basket above boiling water for 2 to 6 minutes. Drain well before using.
  • In a large skillet, melt a luxurious tablespoon of butter until it sizzles gently. Add the shrimp, flavor-packed minced garlic, and a pinch of salt, and saute until the shrimp turn beautifully pink, approximately 5 minutes.
  • Combine the pasta, shrimp, and broccoli in a large bowl, then generously pour the sauce over before serving.
