Versatile Anzac biscuit recipe customizable to any taste preference.
Ingredients:
312.50 ml plain flour, sifted
100.00 gm Traditional Rolled Oats
107.50 gm caster sugar
63.75 gm Desiccated Coconut
150g Organic Unsalted Butter
53.60 gm golden syrup or treacle
30.00 gm water
1.25 gm Bicarbonate Soda
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 170C. Combine flour, oats, sugar, and coconut in a large bowl, stirring until well mixed.
Combine golden syrup and butter in a saucepan over low heat until butter is fully melted. Mix bicarb soda with 1 1/2 tablespoons water, then add to syrup mixture (it will bubble). Remove from heat once combined.
Combine the wet mixture with the dry ingredients until well blended.
Shape the mixture into tablespoon-sized balls and set them on baking trays lined with non-stick baking paper, gently flattening the tops.
