Delicious egg-free Australian cookies with oats, coconut, and golden cane syrup.
Ingredients:
  • 0.75 cup rolled oats
  • 0.75 cup sweetened flaked coconut
  • 0.5 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 tablespoons boiling water
  • 0.5 cup butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon golden syrup
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 350 degrees F (175 degrees C), then generously grease a baking sheet.
  • Combine oats, coconut, flour, and sugar in a bowl. In a separate bowl, dissolve baking powder in boiling water, then mix in butter and golden syrup. Stir the butter mixture into the oat mixture until well combined. Place spoonfuls of dough 2 inches apart on baking sheets and lightly flatten using a floured fork.
  • Bake until beautifully golden brown, for around 15 minutes in a preheated oven.
