Anzac biscuits

Celebrate Anzac Day with classic chewy-crisp Anzac biscuits - simply irresistible!
Ingredients:
100 g unsalted butter
2tablespoons golden syrup
1teaspoonbicarbonate of soda
120 g plain flour
80 g porridge oats
100 g golden caster sugar
80 g desiccated coconut
1teaspoonvanilla extract
1orange zest from
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 180ºC/350ºF/gas 4 and line 2 large baking trays with greaseproof paper.
2. Melt the butter in a small pan over low heat, then mix in the golden syrup.
3. Combine the bicarbonate of soda with 3 tablespoons of boiling water in a small bowl, then stir it into the butter mixture.
4. In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, oats, sugar, and coconut. Make a well in the center.
5. Add the butter mixture, vanilla extract, and orange zest to the dry ingredients. Mix well.
6. Spoon heaped tablespoons of the mixture onto the prepared baking trays, spacing them about 3cm apart.
7. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes until golden brown, then cool on a wire rack.
