Elevate cheese spread with beer, broccoli, and warm bread cubes.
Ingredients:
  • 1 loaf (1 pound) French bread
  • 1 loaf (16 oz. box) VELVEETA™ Original Cheese, cubed
  • 1 1/2 cups frozen chopped broccoli (from 12-oz bag), cooked and drained
  • 1/4 cup regular or nonalcoholic beer
  • 1 jar (2 ounces) diced pimientos, drained
  • 1 teaspoon ground mustard
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°. Cut bread into 1-inch cubes and spread them on an ungreased jelly roll pan. Bake for about 10 minutes, stirring twice, until golden brown and crisp. Serve in a stylish bowl or basket.
  • Melt cheese in a 2-quart saucepan over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Add broccoli, beer, pimientos, and mustard. Cook until hot, then transfer the cheese mixture to a ceramic fondue pot over low heat or to a 1 1/2-quart slow cooker on low heat setting.
  • To enjoy, thread toasted bread cubes onto fondue forks or wooden skewers and dunk into the velvety cheese blend. The cheese fondue can be kept warm in the slow cooker on Low for up to 2 hours. Perfect for 16 servings, with 1/2 cup of bread cubes and 2 tablespoons of fondue per serving.
