Fall apple cranberry crisp with a scoop of creamy vanilla ice cream - a cozy dessert for chilly nights.
Ingredients:
  • cooking spray
  • 9 large apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
  • 1 cup sweetened dried cranberries (such as Ocean Spray® Craisins®)
  • 0.5 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup white sugar
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.5 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 0.5 cup light brown sugar
  • 0.5 cup butter, softened
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.25 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C with a rack positioned in the middle. Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish and line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
  • In a bowl, toss together apples, dried cranberries, flour, white sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, and nutmeg until well-coated; spread filling into the baking dish.
  • Combine oats, brown sugar, 1/2 cup flour, white sugar, butter, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a bowl, using your hands to mix well. Sprinkle over the filling and place the baking dish on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 55 to 60 minutes, until the filling bubbles and the topping is golden brown. Let the crisp cool in the baking dish for 15 minutes before serving.
