Apple jelly and butterscotch chip bars - a sweet and irresistible treat!
Ingredients:
  • 1.5 cups self-rising flour
  • 1.5 cups old-fashioned oats
  • 0.66666668653488 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 0.66666668653488 cup apple jelly
  • 0.25 cup chopped cashews
  • 1 (11 ounce) package butterscotch chips
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) and generously grease the bottom of a 9-inch square baking dish.
  • Combine flour, oats, white sugar, and brown sugar in a large bowl. Incorporate the butter into the mixture until crumbly. Reserve 3/4 cup of the mixture, then press the remaining mixture into the bottom of the dish. Spread apple jelly on top.
  • Combine the reserved flour mixture and cashews in a bowl, then sprinkle over the apple jelly. Scatter the butterscotch chips over the top.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30 to 35 minutes until beautifully golden brown. Let cool completely before slicing into delicious bars.
