Indulge in these delicious apple pecan brownies, sure to impress your guests as a delightful dessert option.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 2 cups packed dark brown sugar
  • 1 cup butter, melted
  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 2 cups Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 3 cups chopped peeled Granny Smith apples (about 1 1/2 lb)
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Spread pecans evenly in a shallow pan. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they turn golden brown.
  • Prepare a 13x9-inch pan by greasing it with shortening and lightly dusting it with flour. In a large bowl, combine brown sugar, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla. Mix in flour, baking powder, and salt until fully combined. Fold in apples and toasted pecans. Spread the mixture evenly in the pan.
  • Bake for 35 to 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow to cool completely in the pan on a cooling rack for about 1 hour. Cut into 6 rows by 4 rows.
