Creamy cheese-filled apple pie with a sweet cinnamon apple topping, baked to perfection with a hint of cheesecake flavor.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup softened butter
  • 0.33333334326744 cup white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour, or as needed
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 egg
  • 0.25 cup white sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 4 cups peeled and sliced apples
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 cup sliced almonds
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 450 degrees F (230 degrees C).
  • In a bowl, combine butter, 1/3 cup sugar, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. Gradually add flour until a dough forms (you may not need all the flour). Press the crust into a 9-inch pie dish.
  • Combine cream cheese, egg, 1/4 cup sugar, and 1 tablespoon vanilla extract in a bowl. Pour the creamy mixture into the pie crust. Toss sliced apples with 1/3 cup sugar and cinnamon; arrange the apple mixture over the cream cheese filling. Sprinkle with sliced almonds.
  • Preheat oven and bake pie for 10 minutes until slightly golden. Lower temperature to 350°F and bake until filling sets, about 20-25 minutes. Allow to cool before enjoying.
